“If you’ve got a happy, healthy workplace you’re going to be more productive” is the message coming from the team behind #LiveBetterMcr, a one day conference focused on wellbeing in the workplace.

The event at the Etihad Stadium on the 3rd October will bring together professionals from fields of business, sport and digital to debate, learn and explore how we can better support the wellbeing of our workforce. The not for profit event is run by The Running Bee Foundation and Sports Tours International.

Topics throughout the day include; time to talk, mental health at work, LGBT, supporting young people, where sport means business, physical wellbeing in a digital world, how the mind has to be the healthiest part of your business.

Hosted by tv presenter Louise Minchin, Mel will join a number of keynote speakers including Phil Jones, MD of Brother UK, Dr Carl Austin Behan, LGBT Advisor to the Mayor of Greater Manchester and Dr Maria Stukoff from Salford University to name but a few.

#LiveBetterMCR is there to debate, learn and explore how to live better and is aimed at business leaders, entrepreneurs and senior managers to discuss, debate and learn how a positive approach to wellbeing can improve the lives of employees and positively impact your business.

The Lancashire based business was founded in 2017 and took two years of research and development before its official launch in 2019. With help and support from Lancaster University, the platform houses accredited mental health training for employees, as well as mental health training, understanding legislation and best practice guides just for managers.

It also contains diagnostic and performance tools, including a real-time survey function and absence cost calculator. Mente also offers direct access to a robust library of information, licensed specialist partners and a national directory of solutions providers, for further help when necessary. Mente is already working closely with a number of national-based businesses on managing their mental health and wellbeing strategy.
