Mediterranean Linens expands into the retail market

Whilst Lancashire is no longer the global supplier of cotton, local business, Mediterranean Linens, is doing it’s best to uphold the county’s reputation for supplying top quality cotton bed linen.

The company, which is part of the Linen Supply Group, has recently moved into the retail sector launching a new website which offers high quality Egyptian cotton bedlinen.

This new venture follows the expansion of their sales and distribution centre to include the development of a 2,400 square foot showroom which showcases their extensive range of products.

In addition, the recent acquisition a building owned by Scott Dawson Advertising on Billington Road Industrial Estate in Burnley, will add an additional 27,000 square feet of warehousing space to the business.

With UK household linens market currently worth about £2bn, retailers are constantly seeking ways to differentiate themselves. On the Mediterranean Linens website, the company focusses on authentic Egyptian cotton bedlinen, highlighting not just it’s unrivalled quality but it’s eco friendly credentials.
