Full-service creative and digital marketing agency Media Village has named Michael Lambert as its new managing director.

He previously occupied the role of operations director and will lead the Lancashire agency’s management team in delivering a new growth programme.

Media Village’s founder, Steve Shread, will transition to the role of chairman, focusing on supporting Michael and the management team, while remaining on the board.

Employing 24-staff, Media Village is based in Altham and was established in 1995.

It provides a full range of in-house creative and digital services covering branding, design, website development and digital marketing.

The company also has its own in-house print and production facilities enabling it to provide digital, lithographic and wide format printing, exhibition and signage printing and installation, vehicle livery and direct mail.

Media Village also boasts a dedicated photography and filming studio, as well as providing AV and digital signage solutions.

New MD Michael said: “One of our core goals is to cultivate a culture that attracts and retains top talent in the industry, while continuously investing to expand our capabilities, particularly in the growing areas of brand and digital strategy.

“Clients value that they can obtain a full marketing service from conception to production and we aim to build on this model.

“Working alongside Steve has been an incredible experience, and he should be immensely proud of what he’s built. I’m just as proud to have the opportunity to lead Media Village into this exciting new chapter.”

Media Village’s clients including Boots Hearingcare, BAE Systems, NHS, Safran Nacelles, Apeks Marine Equipment, Westholme School and Nelson & Colne College.

Michael joined in 1999 as an apprentice and has progressed through the agency to operations manager and then to operations director, becoming a company director in 2008.

Steve Shread said: “Our philosophy has always been to nurture talent from within, and Michael’s journey represents this commitment. With his strong leadership and empathy, he is the ideal person to lead the company forward and build on the strong foundation we’ve created.

“For nearly 30 years, Media Village has grown into one of the largest and most diverse marketing agencies in the North West, unique for offering so many services all under one roof.

“We’ve invested in full integration because our clients value the ability to work with one partner across all strands of marketing and production. I’m excited to see how the company will continue to thrive and evolve under Michael’s leadership.”
