McGoff Group launches Downtown Asset Management

Following an incredible pace of sales and faster than anticipated build programme, the McGoff Group has launched Downtown Asset Management; a new lettings, property and building management service dedicated to the needs of the investors and owner occupiers at Downtown, its flagship residential scheme on Woden Street on the Salford and Manchester border.

Headed up by director of asset management, Paul Danks, the team comprises four individuals with extensive experience in lettings, property management and building management including Rick Medcraft who joins as operations manager, Kay Johnson who takes the role of group project manager and on-site client liaison and Rebecca Chow who has a background in Hong Kong real estate and will liaise with the development’s Chinese-speaking investors.

Operating from a dedicated office at Downtown the team will oversee all lettings, property management and installation, upgrading and maintenance of furniture packs to ensure a seamless local service that provides the maximum return for investors.

Paul Danks commented: “Downtown combines high quality build with hotel-style accommodation and communal services to offer a premium product that is ideal for rental and has been exceptionally well received by investors, both locally and around the world.

“With many international investors based overseas and opting to take a more hands-off approach, we felt it necessary to launch a specialist service dedicated to taking care of their needs locally and I’m delighted to say that we’ve had a superb response.  Having built the scheme, we know the building better than anyone and are best placed to look after it.  It also helps that we have a dedicated presence on site and can respond to the needs of tenants quickly.

“We are taking a different approach with our service offer, with a massive focus on delivering an exceptional service for tenants as well as landlords. We are at 98% occupancy just weeks after build completion and we have already established a real sense of community at Manchester’s most exciting development. Our approach will undoubtedly ensure that our residents truly enjoy their stay at Downtown and ultimately this will only benefit our investor landlords.”

Located on the banks of the River Irwell, offering beautiful views and easy access to the cities of both Manchester and Salford, Downtown is a Manhattan-style development of 374 stylish apartments with high end facilities and hotel-style services including a lobby with 24 hour concierge, gymnasium, spa, media room, postal room, dry and chilled storage, private dining and business centre along with landscaped grounds and communal roof terraces.

Phase I is now complete.  Phase II is due for completion ahead of schedule in March 2020.  For all property lettings and further information, or to book a viewing of the show apartment, please contact the Downtown Asset Management team on 0800 118 2884.
