Chorley-based Lyndhurst Precision Engineering has promoted Mark Marriner to managing director following the retirement of founder Philip Sweeney.
Lyndhurst Precision Engineering specialises in engineering, reverse engineering and R&D, with customers in the nuclear, aerospace, automotive, medical, renewable energy and defence sectors.
The company was founded in 1987 by Philip, and Mark joined one year later after completing the apprenticeship programme at British Leyland and working on the Leyland Trucks design team.Together, they have seen the company grow, now employing 40 and serving customers as far afield as Japan and the US. Philip Sweeney now plans to fully enjoy his well earned retirement whilst Mark hopes to grow the company even further, expanding into other areas of manufacturing.
