Lord Digby Jones visits Burscough businesses

Lord Digby Jones met with business leaders from Burscough to hear about their concerns over the current economic climate.

Baron Jones of Birmingham was the director general of the CBI between 2000 and 2006 and was the government's minister of state for trade, investment and business from 2007 to 2008.

Lord Jones met with Metalfloor UK, where he is chairman, and with Acumen Financial Partnership managing director Angela Maher.

Angela said: “We’re grateful for Lord Jones taking the time to find out about my own personal 14 year journey and Acumen’s success as company which is continuing to grow.

“He seemed impressed by our approach and how we dedicate time to spend with clients to get to the heart of what they want to achieve and enable them to make the most of their money.

“He was also able to offer advice about the current challenges and opportunities around Brexit and Coronavirus which are both impacting the economy.”
