Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors have recruited two senior team members bolstering the team to the most highly qualified level it’s ever been.

The two new team members are Phil Mussell, who joins the firm as a senior land manager and Patrick Flanagan, senior building surveyor.

Phil, who has an extensive background in land buying across the North West, will take up a prominent role in Lea Hough’s residential Land and Development team, working with land-owner clients to advise on residential development opportunities, including valuation and sale of sites, and strategic advice on development matters.

Patrick has joined the firm’s 8-strong team of Chartered Building Surveyors. Patrick’s role will see him becoming involved in project-managing projects for a variety of clients, as well as using his expertise to undertake property inspections, survey reports, specifications, schedules of work, tenders, and contract administration of property refurbishments.

Paul Dignan, partner, commented: “Phil and Patrick are both exciting appointments for us. They are both very experienced and we see their joining the team as paving the way for the firm’s continued steady growth over the coming years. We knew Phil well because he used to work for a client, and Patrick came highly recommended to us by another firm of Chartered Surveyors, so we are delighted to add them both to our team.”

“It has been a strange year– we were obviously extremely concerned during lockdown, but since the property market effectively re-opened in June, we have seen all aspects of our business pick-up extremely strongly. Our residential Surveyors are as busy as ever with valuations and surveys, our Building Surveying team are very busy with a variety of work across all of the sectors we work in, and the Land side of the business is seeing continued activity with sales of land being completed and progressing well. During the summer, we also recently had some fantastic success with a record number of approvals for CIF funding bids for academy schools and sixth form colleges, which has given the firm a real boost.”
