Lancaster tech firm powers up Cowburn Land

By Q2Q IT

10 Dec 2020

Following the launch of his own land agency in August 2020, Lancashire businessman, David Cowburn, has retained the assistance of local managed IT support provider Q2Q – to help foster company growth into the New Year.

Based in Leyland, Cowburn Land was founded by David Cowburn, amid the pandemic, in a bid to assist land and property owners in maximising the value of their assets. With over 20 years’ experience as a chartered surveyor, David was previously a senior partner at Armitstead Barnett – where Q2Q has been providing IT expertise for almost five years.

“Setting up a business in the middle of the biggest crisis in UK living memory hasn’t been the easiest of tasks,” explained David, "and I’m incredibly grateful to Q2Q IT for the help and advice they provided in getting Cowburn Land off the ground. The team has been great, and I couldn’t have done it without them.

“Having the peace of mind that the tech infrastructure – including software, licences and upgrades – is ‘in hand’, while also dealing with my website provider, has made a massive difference and allowed me to focus on launching our service.”

Understanding the importance a robust tech stack can have during the set-up phase of a new business, Lancaster-headquartered Q2Q took care of all-things-IT, including procurement, licencing, installation and delivery – and will continue to support the firm through proactive maintenance and upgrades.

Lorna Stellakis, managing director at Q2Q IT added: “As a business owner myself, I know just how important it is to not have to use time and energy on worrying about things which could be managed by someone else.

“We’ve worked with David for several years now – through his previous role at Armitstead Barnett – and understand what he needs to make Cowburn Land a success, as well as his preferred ways of working.”

Damien Gelder, technical consultant, added: “The right tech – compared to an off-the-shelf solution – can play a significant role in a firm’s efficiency, something which has been brought into sharp focus in 2020.

Cowburn Land was looking for a support provider which would provide the business with confidence in its systems and software, alongside quick response times to any problems – and we’re thrilled to be able to help.”
