Lancaster City Council has been named as the headline sponsor of North Lancs Expo for 2018.

Hosted by Lancaster Brewery on September 23 and 24, the event will dedicate days to both B2B and B2C, with the Sunday’s emphasis being on training, skills, education and the future workforce.

The Sunday of the event will have a family focus, with interactive exhibits and displays. Monday will offering networking and information day for businesses.

The Expo is organised by Lancaster and District Chamber of Commerce and has been designed to represent the ever-growing co-operation of businesses around the Morecambe Bay Economic region.

Councillor Janice Hanson, cabinet member with responsibility for planning and regeneration, said: “The city council is very excited to be sponsoring this tremendous event and celebrating everything that is great about our local businesses.

“There’s no doubt that our district is becoming an economic powerhouse, with exciting plans in the energy generation, defence, education, and transport industries.

“The Bay Gateway has opened up a wealth of opportunities and the expansion of Heysham Port and the city council has a number of exciting proposals in the pipeline, including the development of the Canal Quarter and Bailrigg Garden Village.

“The future of our district is bright and the Expo provides the perfect showcase for what we have to offer.”

Exhibition space at the North Lancs Expo is just £60 per sq m, and early booking is advised as more than 80 per cent of available space has been allocated. As in 2017, entrance to the Expo is free to visitors on both days. Click here for more details of attending, exhibiting or sponsoring the event.
