Yordas Group, a Lancaster-based international provider of scientific consulting and regulatory content services, has been sold to US-headquartered 3E, a global provider of expert-led AI compliance solutions for chemical and workplace safety, product stewardship, and sustainable supply chains.
With operations in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific, Yordas supports manufacturers, importers, and distributors in navigating complex chemical and product compliance requirements.
The acquisition extended 3E’s regulatory content leadership and joined two organisations that pride themselves on building and aligning the industry’s top talent of advanced regulatory and chemical experts.
Preston-based accountants MHA provided corporate finance and tax advice to Yordas to support the deal.
Jonathan Lutwyche, chief executive officer and co-founder of Yordas Group, said: “For nearly two decades, Yordas has built a reputation for scientific rigor and trusted regulatory expertise, and joining 3E is the natural next step in that journey.
“3E shares our commitment to helping customers navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, and its AI-led platform gives our science and content the scale to reach more businesses worldwide.”
Rob Richardson, corporate finance partner at MHA, said: “This transaction sees the coming together of two highly specialist businesses that are both global leaders in their field. The complementary services offered by 3E and Yordas will provide huge benefits for their customers around the world, helping them to stay compliant, reduce risk and keep people safe.
“We’re delighted we’ve been able to support the team at Yordas to complete this important transaction.”
Greg Gartland, Chief Executive Officer of 3E, said: “We have always admired and respected the Yordas team. This highly complementary acquisition advances 3E’s vision to be the most trusted partner our customers can rely on as they navigate an increasingly complex and global regulatory landscape.
“With this combination, 3E will have the private sector’s single largest group of chemical regulatory experts. Yordas’ scientific depth and trusted expertise strengthen the foundation we are building for the future – one where expertly curated regulatory content and intelligence powers trusted AI solutions to create speed, scale and unprecedented visibility and problem solving for product compliance.”
