The Landmark Business Club in Burnley is the new location of choice for one of Lancashire’s most important law firms, Forbes Solicitors.

It’s a significant vote of confidence for the town and the local business community.

Forbes Solicitors has been trading for over 200 years and is one of the largest law firms in the region. The company operates nationally and currently has 11 offices around the north of England. The decision to open an office at the iconic Landmark building on School Lane in Burnley town centre is great news for Burnley. It’s evidence that businesses in the area are resilient and optimistic even in the midst of the global health crisis.

The Landmark, which is a grade 2 listed building and former site of Burnley Grammar School, is already host to a growing number of businesses. The team at The Landmark are creating an environment where start-ups can work alongside more established organisations and both can benefit from networking opportunities.

Oliver Burton, CEO at Forbes Solicitors, explained about the decision: “By renting offices at the Apex Centre in The Landmark we hope to solidify our position in Burnley. We were looking for an impressive location to meet with clients and The Landmark ticks all the boxes, it’s one of the most attractive buildings in town. They’ve got all the modern facilities we’re looking for, all housed in a building with 100s of years of local history.”

Mark Crabtree OBE, Director of The Landmark, commented: “We’re proud to be working with such a prestigious law firm as Forbes Solicitors. This is a big win for us, and it shows we’re on the right path and that our business club is thriving. Forbes has a long history in the north of England, and we’re honoured to be a part of that. They’ll make a great addition to the community.”

The Landmark offers fully serviced private offices and also operates a business club. From as little as £20 a month, entrepreneurs can use shared workspaces and gain all the benefits of a state-of-the-art office facility. They offer hot desks with ultrafast internet, boardrooms with the latest audio-visual facilities, and all for a fraction of the cost of a traditional office.
