Lancashire recruitment agency shortlisted for Red Rose Award

Spencer Clarke Group, a Lancashire based recruitment agency has been shortlisted for a prestigious Red Rose Award under the Scale Up category. 

Established in 2011, the Red Rose Awards are designed to promote and salute the success of businesses within the county of Lancashire. 

Created by Lancashire Business View, the Red Rose Awards celebrate commerce and industry, as well as encouraging inter-trading within the county.

A glittering awards ceremony to announce this year's winner will take place on November 25th at Winter Gardens Blackpool.

In the Scale Up category, Spencer Clarke Group faces competition against six fellow nominees including Lantei, Innovator International and Sundown Solutions.  

Other categories include the Employer of the Year award, the Family Business award and a new category for 2021, the Go Green award. 

All finalists will be invited to present their case in person to an expert panel of judges, made up of independent business experts and sponsors, who will be tasked with picking one winner. 

With an extensive background in recruitment, managing director Mike Shorrock, partnering with director Michael Spencer, took a leap of faith and opened the Spencer Clarke Group doors for the very first time in 2017.

“We’re over the moon to be shortlisted for the Scale Up award,” said Mike Shorrock, managing director of Spencer Clarke Group.

Shorrock continued: “In the four short years which we have been operating, we have grown from strength to strength so being shortlisted for this award is a huge recognition of our achievements so far.”    

Michael Spencer added: “It's hard to believe how much success we have achieved in such a short space of time.”

Spencer continued: “We currently employ 20 members of staff and it is down to their hard work, commitment and determination which has helped us get to where we are today.”
