Lancashire FSB chief drives late payment message to Chancellor
FSB Chairman for Lancashire, Gary Lovatt, has taken a clear message on necessary changes in the banking sector and the growing issue of late payment to Westminster.
Gary Lovatt said: “We are pleased that both the Chancellor and Business Secretary took the time to meet with us, and that they understand many of the difficulties small businesses are facing in the current climate.
“The lack of lending is impacting heavily on cashflow and being exacerbated by a culture of late payment which is really stifling many small businesses across Lancashire. We want to see the much talked about Business Bank introduced at the earliest opportunity to increase choice for small businesses. “We really need to see these issues addressed quickly to enable economic recovery to accelerate.”
