The report, supported by Lloyds Banking Group, Business Growth Fund and Cenkos Securities, paints a vibrant picture of how business is booming across the UK.For the first time, 75 per cent of those included in the list are headquartered outside London, demonstrating how businesses in areas such as the North West have assisted in leading local economies out of the recession.
Xavier Rolet, chief executive, London Stock Exchange Group said: “This report is a significant part of our broader campaign to support UK high growth companies in their journeys from start-up to stardom and to create an entrepreneurship revolution.“I’m delighted that a strong alliance between UK government, financial market participants, investors, entrepreneurs and companies has been created to support these inspiring businesses.”
Partner at Birchall Blackburn Law, Michael Foxford, commented: “Law has become an increasingly competitive market but we’ve seen this as an opportunity and invested into developing our specialist consumer facing-legal services.“Three key drivers of our growth plans have been a rigorous recruitment programme to appoint the very best legal talent, enhancing some of our key departments, and also investing in a major re-branding exercise to make us a modern, relevant law firm. “As a result, we have developed new clients across the UK but have our roots firmly in the North West.”
