Lancashire businessman Dave Fishwick stars in Channel 4 money-saving show

Lancashire businessman Dave Fishwick and presenter Kate Quilton are starring in a new series that investigates the true value of must-buy products and services.

The Shopper’s Guide To Saving Money gains access to big corporations and industry insiders to explore how much things really cost to make, giving viewers tips on the best way to get the best deal on everything from pets to printer ink, jeans, airline tickets, diamonds, perfume, gas bills and even funerals.

“It’s fast-moving with lots going on, but we’re not just showing issues, we’re providing people with solutions.

“I enjoy getting to see lots of places and I get access to the door marked ‘no entry’. I’m asking the blunt questions and I’m frightened of no one.” Episodes air at 8:30pm on Mondays, and the first episode, which drew in almost two million viewers, featured the price-busting duo investigating the true cost of owning man's best friend and uncovering the surprising world of printer ink cartridges. The show also revealed how much cash we waste by leaving gadgets on standby.
