The Awards, which has categories relevant to every business in the county, will crown the best firms across 26 categories.

The 2015 event, which was organised by Lancashire Business View magazine, attracted more than 1,000 of the county’s top business people for the celebration at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens and drew national attention as it ‘trended’ on Twitter in the UK top ten.

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View said: “First and foremost the Red Rose Awards are about giving Lancashire business the opportunity to show how great it is; how deep its commercial excellence runs.

“We are giving business the chance to shout about what they do and why they are the best at it – and we hope they’ll grasp that opportunity with both hands by entering. We hope that businesses will take some time this week to reflect on their achievements and enter the awards before our deadline of midnight on 15 January.

“We know the business community love participating in the awards – if you’ve experienced the Red Rose Awards either by entering, judging, sponsoring or attending on the night, we ask that you encourage your clients, suppliers and associates to enter!

“We are also proud to have our fantastic headline sponsors, Forbes Solicitors and Barclays, on board for 2016. These are blue-chip brands and their calibre says much about the esteem in which these awards are held.”

The 2016 Awards will once again feature joint headline sponsorship, with Forbes Solicitors reaffirming its support for the sixth year in a row, and Barclays joining for  a third consecutive year.

Gavin Wright, CEO at Forbes, said: “It’s a privilege to be supporting this event once more in 2016, an event which showcases the successes of so many businesses in Lancashire, and one that should be the first in everyone’s diaries for the new year.

“I look forward to judging more high quality entries and I would encourage any business who has something to shout about to enter.”

John Stanworth, director of business and corporate at Barclays in Lancashire, commented: “We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with the Red Rose Awards for a third year.

“The awards recognise businesses that are achieving growth and that are contributing to the overall success of the region, something Barclays is incredibly supportive of.

“We are looking forward to continuing our support for the 2016 awards and would encourage more growing businesses to enter and reap the rewards.”

Sponsors confirmed to date are: Forbes Solicitors, Barclays, University of Central Lancashire, Burnley Council, RSM, 2BR/ The Bee, Ascentis, Barton Grange Hotel, Beever and Struthers, Bespoke Web Specialists, Bizspace, Business and Enterprise Trust, Cassons, Four Recruitment, Federation of Small Businesses, Harrison Drury Solicitors, Heart Radio, Lancashire County Council / Rosebud, Laura Hartley Recruitment, Leonard Dews, Marketing Lancashire, Mattiolli Woods, Mayes Business Growth Solutions,  Napthens Solicitors, Northcote at the Rovers, North West Coast Academic Health Science Network, Peter Scott Printers, Preston’s College, Stonehouse Logic, Sunshine Events, WEC Group, Winter Gardens Blackpool and With a Twist Catering.
