Red Rose Awards 2015Lancashire Business View has been named a finalist in three categories at the PPA Connect National Events Awards 2015.

The magazine, with its sister business and in-house events team Fettle Events, is current holder of the Awards Event of 2014 title for its Red Rose Awards which take place annually at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.

For 2015, Lancashire Business View, has been nominated  for three awards:

  • Red Rose Awards 2015, which attracts more than 1,100 guests, has been shortlisted for the Awards Event of the Year.
  • Young ‘Uns Awards 2015, which celebrates those aged 36 and under making waves in Lancashire business, has been shortlisted for Launch Event of the Year.
  • The Lancashire Business View team are also finalists in the Events Team of the Year category for its work on both Awards and also its Hot 100 and Big 50 events, which celebrate the commercial powerhouses of the county, and for its 12 high-level debates which feature in the magazine.
Lancashire Business View will compete against events from the likes of Incisive Media, Findlay Media, Centaur Media and Haymarket Media Group for prizes at the awards which take place in London in December.

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “This is a huge honour for a small team from Lancashire. We entered these awards last year hoping for a good night out; bringing home the prize was a big bonus!

“To make the shortlist again, and in three different categories, makes us extremely proud and excited in equal measures.

“It shows the hard work and dedication our team puts into delivering events that support the Lancashire business community and  it’s a testament to all those who contribute to our events – our entrants, judges, sponsors and suppliers - who make the events what they are.

“Our events are designed to celebrate Lancashire business, provide the best possible platforms to promote success, and to encourage trade in the county.”

Red Rose Awards is now in its sixth year and has developed a reputation for being the centrepiece attraction for the Lancashire business community. With a lively and exuberant atmosphere the awards ensure the finalists are at the heart of the action, whilst sticking to its philosophy of great food, entertainment and no long speeches.

The PPA Connect Awards celebrates the very best in events, highlighting the stand-out companies, teams and individuals that bring an event to life.
