Lancashire Business Expo improves year on year

On Friday 4th March 2016 Lancashire held its second Business Expo at the Guild Hall, Preston following the great success of the initial one on 17th April 2015.

The aim of the expo is to create a unique platform for the local business owners and decision makers to meet, network, build relationships, do business together and raise their profile within the region.

Following the success from last year, this years event saw an increase in interest as the majority of exhibitors from the 2015 event immediately secured their places at the close of the event. With over 160 exhibitors at the event and over 2,000 delegates registered to attend Taylor Patterson were again proud to be involved in such a prestigious local event. In addition to the exhibitors, delegates could attend business focused workshop sessions with themes based around business support, training grants and key developments in the region.

The delegates who attended the expo and battled through the initial snowy start, were able to speak to the team at Taylor Patterson on the new pension freedoms and the recently imposed changes to pension regulations affecting allowances.

Whilst from a business owners perspective we were able to inform them of their initial and ongoing auto enrolment obligations. Aside from obtaining the latest up-to-date financial planning knowledge, the delegates were also in with a chance to win a bottle of champagne. Keith Pressler, director, who co-ordinated Taylor Patterson’s involvement in the event this year and also last year said: “It was great to see so many familiar faces attending Lancashire’s second expo. There is a real appetite for Lancashire businesses to do business with each other and this event allows the local business community to get together and do just that!
