Kingswood Homes has received planning permission for a 16-acre site in Whittle-le-Woods, marking its expansion into the Chorley area.

The North West housebuilder is currently building homes in Hoddlesden, alongside its flagship, multi-award-winning Green Hills development of over 700 homes in Feniscowles, Blackburn.

The new Hill Top Rise development will feature homes from Kingswood's Homestead Collection which take inspiration from Georgian architecture and will offer a variety of two to six bedroom homes.

The development includes affordable housing options and presents a rare opportunity to purchase a new-build bungalow.

Andrea Fortune, land and planning director at Kingswood Homes, said: "Our plans to bring high-specification homes to Whittle-le-Woods represent just one part of our exciting business expansion plans.

"This is a thriving community and a popular area to live, thanks to nearby amenities and excellent travel connections including the M61, M6, and A6."

Kingswood Homes prides itself on being a regional house builder that avoids cookie-cutter designs.

The company is revolutionising home buying with its industry-leading Shape Your Home concept, giving buyers the freedom to choose from various floor plans that suit their lifestyle.

All homes at the Whittle-le-Woods site will offer this Shape Your Home feature as well as Kingswood’s unrivalled specification.

Kingswood Homes is celebrating an outstanding achievement in 2025, having secured the prestigious five-star rating from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for the fourth consecutive year. With an impressive 97 per cent rating for both recommendation and build quality, this accomplishment puts Kingswood among the highest-rated builders in the North West.

Construction director Stuart Bullough attributes this success to the team's unwavering dedication to quality and customer satisfaction, highlighting how their customer-centric approach has become central to everything they do as a collective team.
