Kingswood Homes has been 'highly commended' in the Corporate Social Responsibility category at the prestigious Sunday Times Construction and Property Awards, recognising the company's outstanding commitment to community initiatives and charitable giving.

The award, presented at a ceremony on May 15th in Manchester, celebrates Kingswood's extensive community engagement and charitable work, including their transformative £400,000 fundraising initiative for Derian House Children's Hospice and their role as a gold patron of the Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone, contributing annually.

Paul Jones, managing director at Kingswood Homes, said: "This recognition reflects our deep-rooted commitment to making a positive impact in our communities.

"From our substantial fundraising efforts for Derian House to our support of local sports teams and educational initiatives, we believe in creating lasting positive change in the areas where we build."

The recognition reflects several key community initiatives. The cornerstone of Kingswood's charitable work has been their support of Derian House Children's Hospice, where their innovative Great Big House Giveaway campaign successfully raised £400,000.

As gold patrons of the Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone, Kingswood Homes provides crucial funding that helps sustain vital youth services in the area. The company actively participates in Youth Zone initiatives, including attending patron dinners, supporting the recent re-launch of their Fusebox centre, and participating in career development programs.

The company's community involvement extends into local sports, where they sponsor teams like Hoddlesden Tigers FC. They've also established meaningful educational partnerships with local schools, offering careers talks and site visits to inspire the next generation of construction professionals.

Kingswood Homes maintains strong connections with their developments' communities through regular events, including Christmas tree light switch-ons and seasonal celebrations, helping to foster a sense of community spirit where they build.

This recognition comes as Kingswood Homes continues to maintain its position as one of the North West's leading housebuilders, having recently achieved a five-star rating from the Home Builders Federation for the fourth consecutive year with a 97 per cent customer satisfaction rate.
