Kingswood celebrates milestone sale

Kingswood Homes has sold 200 homes at its Green Hills development at Feniscowles in Blackburn.

The homebuilder is working with Backburn With Darwen Council towards delivering 440 homes across 136 acres by 2026 as part of the Gib Lane masterplan.

Green Hills l includes contemporary-style homes designed by HemingwayDesign and inspired by traditional Lancashire farmsteads and towns, along with more traditional-looking designs. Future phases include the Homestead range which references the Georgian era popular during the peak of the town’s growth.

The development earned five stars in the 2021 UK Property Awards for its Dovecote 4 show home and has now been shortlisted for the Housing Project of the Year category of the Building Awards.

Sales have also been bolstered by Kingswood’s Shape Your Home concept which enables buyers to choose from a range of floor options to configure their home to suit their lifestyle. Options include adding en-suites, creating fewer and therefore larger bedrooms, adding a study, or completely opening up the ground floor to provide an expansive family-friendly, sociable space.

Lesley Myers, sales director for Kingswood Homes, said: "Such a response to Green Hills is incredible and illustrates the importance of the development in providing much-needed homes for the Blackburn area, along with the excitement of buyers at being able to access high-quality homes in such a stunning location.

"We are delighted to be celebrating such a milestone and, with a new show home coming soon to further demonstrate the standard and flexibility of these amazing homes, we may well be looking at another one very soon.”
