Independent Living

Our Independent Living Team helps supported housing providers who want to source and provide homes for those with complex needs.

Types of Independent Living that AG have extensive experience in are;

Supported Living:-
Providing homes and independent living with support for adults with learning and/or physical disabilities. Usually includes provision of support staff accommodation to ensure 24-hour support.

Retirement Housing:-
Self-contained houses and apartments for those of retirement age who want to live independently but have support available if needed.

Extra Care Housing:-
Similar to retirement housing with the added benefit of extra support (usually 24hrs) if needed.

Care Homes:-
Provides ‘home-style’, live-in accommodation, with 24 hour supervised staffing for elderly residents who may need extra help and support with their personal care.

Emergency Accommodation:-
Provides short term quality accommodation for those with emergency needs such as homelessness and refuges for those seeking protection, providing a safe and compassionate environment where lives can be rebuilt.

One recent project AG specified and managed was a residential refurbishment for Golden Lane Housing. This involved full internal refurbishment including full decoration, floor finishes, new fire doors and bathroom fit outs. A new wet room and en-suite within the ground floor bedrooms were formed so each resident had their own washing facilities.
