Illuminate adds business expertise to outstanding training

Illuminate Training is a national provider of quality commercial training, created to expand and diversify the employer arm of Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC), an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ college.

Building on the strengths and successes of B&FC, Illuminate offers a wide range of bespoke and off-the-shelf training, as well as apprenticeships from introductory right the way through to degree level. Responsiveness, flexibility and a commitment to working in partnership are central to the ethos as its supports you in growing your business.

The B&FC brand enjoys a national reputation for excellence, underpinned by award-winning education, strong relationships with employers, expert tutors, industry-standard facilities and high levels of support.

B&FC recently became one of just six general further education colleges to be granted Foundation Degree awarding powers. These powers give B&FC greater flexibility over the programmes it co-creates with employer partners to develop the workforce you need to drive your business forward.

The college currently works with 1,800 employers and organisations in the Fylde Coast and Lancashire regions in particular, but also nationally; it is through the extensive and mature relationships which have developed that it has facilitated the design and delivery of programmes across all levels.

Apprenticeships levy events

In April 2017, the way the government funds apprenticeships in England is changing and larger companies will be required to contribute to a new apprenticeship levy.

There will also be changes to the funding for apprenticeship training for all employers so it is important businesses are aware of the changes.
