Lancashire Business View’s Red Rose Awards has a new, bigger home - remaining within Blackpool's Winter Gardens, the ceremony will take place within Olympia.

The movement means a bigger audience for the night of celebration - and a limited number of extra tickets have been made available (Click here to book).

The Red Rose Awards, held at Winter Gardens since 2011, is the event where Lancashire business, commerce and industry are celebrated. It provides the best possible platforms to promote success, and to encourage inter-trading in the county.

The awards are about the businesses that keep the county alive – the heroes of the Lancashire economy.

Simon Jersey, previous winners of the Large Business award said, “The Red Rose Awards play a great role in promoting the fantastic talent and business growth in Lancashire.”

This year more than 1,100 people will attend the glittering event on the March 8 to see the cream of Lancashire’s business talent honoured. The event sees the Red Rose Awards team utilise various areas of the venue for the awards which start at 6:00pm and finish at 1:30am; it will truly be a night to remember.

This year guests will enjoy a fabulous evening of fun and celebration at another part of the famous venue.

The awards evening will take place in the impressive Olympia Exhibition Centre this year. The switch follows work to renovate the Empress Ballroom, which has held previous awards evenings.

That renovation work is underway and is expected to cost in the region of £750,000.

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be returning to the Winter Gardens in Blackpool where we have had such fabulous evenings over the years.

“There aren’t many venues in the country never mind Lancashire, that can hold over 1,100 guests in two different spaces and we are really impressed with the splendour of the Olympia Exhibition Centre. People attending the event will enjoy the same great atmosphere that this event and venue delivers every year.

“We are working hard with the venue, our production team and all of our Lancashire –based event suppliers to turn this space into a spectacular room to host the awards!”

Michael Williams, managing director of Winter Gardens Blackpool said: “The work taking place in the Empress Ballroom is a huge undertaking for the venue. We are very pleased Lancashire Business View were up for the challenge of using the Olympia Exhibition Centre for the Red Rose Awards and we look forward to working with them on the transformation of this space which has never been used for an event of this nature before.”

Organisations of all sizes from every corner of the county across a wide variety of industries are represented on the list of 150 finalists and 26 winners will be revealed on the night.
