Four tasty new flavours of Greek style yogurt have been launched into the iconic Ann Forshaw’s range.

Now in SPAR stores across the North of England, the new yogurts are available in delicious fat free flavours including Madagascan Vanilla, Honey, and Strawberry. There is also a low fat Sicilian Lemon variety in the range.

One of Lancashire’s best-known brands, the Ann Forshaw’s Greek style yogurts are available in a 140g serving, and these are complemented by a larger 450g size including the Honey flavour, as well as fat free and full fat Natural Greek style yogurts.

Packaged in recyclable plastic pots, the new 140g Greek style yogurts have eye-catching branding and are available in SPAR stores on a 2 for £1.40 deal.

They slot into a range that includes the renowned Ann Forshaw’s Farmhouse yogurts, available in seven delicious flavours, which are also purchasable on the same 2 for £1.40 deal for a 140g pot.

Completing the Ann Forshaw’s range of products are the assorted flavours in the Thick and Creamy style and the premium Luxury yogurts, with luscious compote bottoms.

Alston Dairy has a mission to produce high quality yogurt from farm to pot within 24 hours. Its key ingredient is milk from the Forshaw’s family farm next door ensuring the product’s unique characteristic is maintained by using the freshest milk possible.

Ann Forshaw said: “I am delighted with the new varieties of Greek style yogurts, and I think they are superb additions to our existing range.

“I am particularly pleased with the texture of the low fat and fat free versions. Because of the freshness and the quality of the milk we use at Alston Dairy, we have a high-quality base product, and even with the cream taken out the consistency of the yogurt still feels like a luxurious treat when you taste it.

“We have consistently innovated and explored new flavours and styles of yogurt down the years, and SPAR customers have always loved them. We are very confident these new Greek style yogurts will be equally enjoyed, and I am proud to put my name to them.”

Ann Forshaw’s and its associated Alston Dairy was acquired by the James Hall Group of Companies in December 2022.

The acquisition saw the group expand its portfolio of food manufacturing businesses in the North West to five, adding Ann Forshaw’s Alston Dairy to Clayton Park Bakery, Fazila Foods, Graham Eyes Butchers, and the Great Northern Sandwich Company.

James Hall & Co. Ltd is a fifth-generation family business which serves a network of independent SPAR retailers and company-owned SPAR stores across Northern England six days a week from its base at Bowland View in Preston.
