ICAEW Chartered Accountants North West welcomes new leader

Kevin Duffy has been appointed president of ICAEW Chartered Accountants North West (CANW).  He takes the reins from past president Richard Crowther, who led CANW during 2015-2016.

Kevin will support CANW’s 1,760 members across Lancashire and South Cumbria, which forms part of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

His primary role will be to oversee the delivery of a range of services for members including a series of CPD courses, a variety of technical and networking events including an annual dinner and discussion groups as well as representing the interests of chartered accountants to the wider business community.

He will be supported in this role by Deputy President, Gillian Bardin of Taylor Patterson, a Mattioli Woods plc company.

Kevin said: “It is a real honour to able to represent ICAEW Chartered Accountants North West. As president I want to carry on the great work done by Richard in terms of supporting our members in Lancashire and South Cumbria and being a voice for business in the region and beyond. The president and CANW committee invited members celebrating 50 years of membership of the ICAEW to join them at the Annual General Meeting at The Villa, Wrea Green.
