Home Instead Senior Care creates 110 jobs

Home Instead Senior Care, which provides care to people in their own homes in Lytham, Fylde and Wyre has announced the creation of 110 new jobs for the year ahead in a major recruitment drive starting this month.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOne hundred of the jobs are for caregivers, five are for senior caregivers, and five are for office roles based at the Home Instead office in Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool, to help manage the day to day operations of the growing office.

The need to employ more carers in the local area is a reflection of a national trend which is a result of the ageing population. A recent report from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills has identified the need to recruit over half a million carers by 2022. The report also listed caring as one of the careers of the future.

Sophie Hoyle of Home Instead said: “We are receiving more and more calls from local people and family members looking for home care, and our business has grown significantly as a result. “For people with no prior experience, we provide a full training programme so anyone who is interested in a rewarding career in the growing sector should get in touch. It is the unique and high-quality, personal service that has allowed us to grow so quickly and create these jobs in the local area.”
