Hollywood designer launches bespoke dress design business
Costume designer to the stars Morgan Farrar from Bispham is set to bring Hollywood glamour to brides in the North West with the launch of her bespoke bridal design business.Morgan, 29, has created costumes for many Hollywood stars including Michelle Pfeiffer, Sir Ben Kingsley, Emily Blunt and Gemma Arterton and for sellout theatre productions including Singin’ in the Rain, 42nd Street and Beauty and the Beast.
The launch of her eponymous dress design business studio in Bispham comes after receiving a loan from BFS Start Up Now the North West arm of the government’s national £150m Start Up Loans programme that is delivered by Business Finance Solutions (BFS).Morgan will now also be designing for brides and bridal parties who want unique made to measure outfits for their wedding day, as well as continuing to work on commissions from theatrical and interiors clients. Morgan Farrar also offers a bespoke design service for the full bridal party, from grooms and flower girls to personalized shoes and bridal accessories.
Morgan said: “I’ve had an incredible career as a costume designer, working with some of the best actors and directors in the world, but I’ve always had a real desire to have my own business and, thanks to BFS Start Up Now, the time is right for me to make the most of all my design and dressmaking expertise.“Launching a new business can be daunting so being able to access the low interest business loan and to work through my business plan with the team at Business Finance Solutions really helped me to focus on building a business that I can grow organically and start to create jobs locally.”

BFS Start Up Now is available to everyone over the age of 18 in the North West.
