Heritage Collection vehicle spotlight: Doris

doris.jpg.jpg

As we continue to commemorate the rich history of our company, we wanted to shine a spotlight on one of the most treasured vehicles in our F&W Heritage Collection: Doris.

Acquired in 2017 to mark our 90th anniversary, Doris holds a special place in all of our hearts and serves as a remarkable tribute to the legacy of Fagan & Whalley and the values and traditions that have shaped us into who we are today.

The vehicle, a Scania “S” cab was carefully chosen for our 90th anniversary to embody the spirit of progress and innovation that has been at the core of our company throughout the years.

Named after Graham and Stephen Fagan’s mother, Doris, the vehicle was kept as a surprise from the two CEOs and presented to them outside of the Fagan & Whalley HQ as part of our birthday celebrations.

Not only is Doris painted in a one-of-a-kind livery and adorned with traditional signwriting, but she also stands as a testament to the attention to detail that defines our approach to both our fleet and our business operations. In doing so, she represents Fagan & Whalley brilliantly.

Since joining our fleet, Doris has played a significant role in our day-to-day operations – playing a crucial role in the delivery of our client’s goods. Taking the wheel of this special edition vehicle is Peter Smith, a valued member of the team who takes great pride in ensuring she looks her best when out and about on deliveries across the UK.

In essence, Doris serves as a constant reminder of our remarkable achievements, a tribute to the dedication and passion that drives us forward, and a symbol of the bright future that lies ahead. As we continue to evolve and adapt to meet the changing needs of our industry, we remain deeply grateful for the foundations of our company and the countless individuals who have contributed to our success along the way.

What is the Fagan & Whalley Heritage Collection?

Representing the values of family, dedication and resilience that have shaped our company into the industry-leading logistics provider that we are today – our Heritage Collection is an assortment of trucks that represent significant milestones in our company’s history.

Each of the vehicles has a unique story and meaning behind it – making them increasingly popular with truck enthusiasts and at shows!

For more information on any of our other Heritage Collection vehicles, including our beloved 1953 Albion Chieftain, Albert – check out our assortment of vehicles here.
