Established in 1982, Streetlife assists vulnerable young people in Blackpool, many of whom face homelessness. It’s a vital service, supported by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers.

Their aim is to enable and empower 16 - 25-year-olds in the resort to make informed choices about issues affecting their lives. Their Night Shelter provides emergency accommodation, whilst the Day Centre offers 1:1 counselling support as well as life skill sessions such as cooking lessons, art group and money management.

The organisation appointed Happy as their marketing partner to help promote their annual fundraiser, ‘The Big SleepOut’ taking place on 31st March 2023.  Sponsored by Beaverbrooks the Jewellers, the event aims to raise vital funds to help keep the Night Shelter open.
Blackpool girl, and Coronation Street star, Jodie Prenger, will be joining individuals, families and businesses to help raise awareness and funds.

On the partnership with Happy, Jane Hugo, Streetlife’s Chief Executive, said, “Each year, we need to raise a total of £85,000 to keep our Night Shelter running and funds raised from the SleepOut go towards this.

“With our busy schedules, we needed a local partner that can help achieve results. Happy’s knowledge and experience in marketing and the local area is exactly what we were looking for. Together, we’re expecting another successful fundraiser.”

Happy will help support Streetlife and the Big SleepOut by providing marketing advice, campaign ideas and planning, social media management, PR, text & email marketing, design of assets, website updates and content creation.

Chief Happy, Karen Lambert, said, “The Big SleepOut showcases the generosity of the local community and it’s heart-warming to see the results. We’re bringing our specialist skills and expertise to raise awareness of the event and how the charity is helping vulnerable young people in our town. It’s very humbling. Jane and her team’s commitment is a true source of inspiration and it’s fantastic to be supporting them in this way.”
