Happy tackles poverty, equality and climate change with new client win

Lancaster-based Support the Goals has enlisted Happy Creative to help them encourage more than one million businesses to support their new initiative by 2023.

Support the Goals is committed to raising awareness and support for the 17 United Nation’s Global Goals (aka Sustainable Development Goals SDGs) which tackle poverty, equality and climate change. They are a ‘blueprint for better’ – a roadmap for governments, businesses and individuals to create a better future for everyone by 2030.

Support The Goals is committed to raising support for the goals in the UK and overseas, and has appointed marketing and creative company Happy Creative to help.

Colin Curtis founded the Support the Goals initiative to drive awareness and action in delivering the SDGs. The company rates organisations on the steps they are taking to support the UN’s goals, building what is set to become the world’s largest research database of business support for the goals.

The site is also a source of practical ideas for improving the sustainability of every business, and the organisation has already rated FTSE 100 and FTSE250 companies like HSBC and Dunelm as well as many smaller companies.

As marketing and branding partner, Happy is helping Support the Goals to raise awareness of the goals, build the brand and drive more rating through a mix of online and offline activity.

“Happy were recommended to us,” explained Colin, “although I already knew their strong reputation for marketing and branding. Ours is not a typical venture so it was hugely important that whoever we partnered with took the time to really understand what we’re about and match branding expertise with passion for the initiative. Happy certainly did that.”

Chief Happy, Karen Lambert said, “Colin’s infectious enthusiasm for the Global Goals is genuinely inspiring. To be helping generate awareness of a global action plan to create a fair and sustainable world is a very humbling experience - it’s also immensely rewarding and very, very easy to buy into.”
