North West-based digital marketing agency, Soap Media, has been recognised by Google as one of their best agencies, having been asked to continue as an ‘Elite’ partner for the second year running.

Each year, Google ranks the thousands of agencies running ads on their platform into different partner tiers, with the highest non-invitational tier being ‘Premier’.

The Google Partners programme has undergone a significant number of changes in preparation for 2022, updating the requirements agencies need to meet in order to qualify. Since these changes, the Premier Partner status is now reserved for agencies in the top 3%.

However, a small group of the top-performing agencies, around 150 in total, are additionally hand-picked to take the next step up and join an ‘Elite’ tier. This invite-only tier consists of agencies who have delivered ‘best in class’ results for their clients, grown revenue across all of Google’s product categories, and have strived for the adoption of new technology.

Soap Media was initially invited to join the ‘Elite’ tier in 2021 following their impressive account performance. This helped propel the digital pioneers to achieve 212% year-on-year growth whilst exceeding the benchmark of the UK’s top 10 agencies.

Based on their outstanding growth, and coupled with exemplary in-account performance metrics, they were presented with an award from Google for ‘staying ahead of the game with growing digital expertise and team development’ in the ‘2021 Google Agency Recognition’.

David Benson, Google’s director of agency for UK & Ireland, said: “2021 Google Agency Recognition celebrates our best agencies for being great partners and inspiring the new generation of marketers. It celebrates agencies, clients, and individuals whose Google Ads marketing strategy sets new benchmarks for advertising excellence and is recognised as best in class by Google thought leaders.”

After being tagged as ‘high potential’ internally at Google and gaining End of Year Recognition for their achievements, Soap Media has been invited to continue at this ‘Elite’ level of partnership throughout 2022.

Agencies that reach this level of partnership are granted access to a host of additional features and support to help bolster results for their clients. These features include attending regular bespoke optimization and expert training sessions, being first in the market to be listed for new betas, and receiving detailed competitor and market reviews.

Jack Oddy, partnerships director at Soap Media, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by Google in this way, and for continuing to go above and beyond for our clients. This wouldn’t be possible without our incredible team members, who strive every day to get the best results, living and breathing our company mantra: your partner in digital.

“We’re excited to take advantage of the additional features and support available to us, which will no doubt lead to another outstanding year for our company.”
