Globaltex expands premises
Family-run Globaltex, which trades as Clarke & Clarke, has purchased larger premises as part of its expansion plans. The firm designs and distributes high quality fabrics and wallcoverings and is internationally recognised as one of the leaders in the world of home fashion. Its designs regularly appear in home furnishing features in the press and in lifestyle magazines and editorials, including Country Living, Ideal Home and Country Homes & Interiors.
The company's recent property purchase and acquisition of the freehold of its existing premises and the adjoining unit at The Madison Centre in Haslingden comes as a result of an expansion of the business following increasing demands for its products.Lee Clarke, managing director of Globaltex, said: "The additional premises will allow us to service our customers quickly and efficiently. We will also be improving our systems by installing specialised textile machinery, updating our software systems and radically changing the way we logistically operate, as well as increasing our staffing levels to allow us to cope comfortably with the growth.
“By purchasing the adjoining unit, we can now confidently take on the additional orders from our customers and ensure that Clarke & Clarke is well equipped to meet the demands put on the business both in the short and long term."The commercial property team at Taylors Solicitors assisted with the purchase and Barclays helped fund the transaction. Colette Johnson of Taylors Solicitors said: "It is genuinely pleasing to see a local based family-run manufacturing business thriving in its sector and we wish them every success for their continued growth."
