Glendale appointed to United Utilities framework

Glendale is proud to announce that they have entered into an initial three-year Environmental Works Contractors Framework agreement with United Utilities with the option of annual extensions that could take the contract up to an eight-year partnership. 

The Environmental Works Contractors Framework is a Mandatory Framework to support the delivery of Environmental Works, Maintenance, and Land reinstatement works on United Utilities and third-party land where the Company has a responsibility or interest as Statutory Undertaker; this includes Catchment Land, Water Treatment Works (WTW), Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW), Reservoirs, Pipelines and Pumping Stations (PS). The scope of works encompasses landscape delivery, tree works, work in private gardens, amenity spaces, ecologically sensitive sites, sports fields, conventional and sustainable drainage solutions, silviculture, river restoration, agricultural land, golf courses and highway verges.

The scope of the agreement will include the full range of landscaping and grounds maintenance services offered by Glendale from commercial grass cutting to winter grounds maintenance.

United Utilities manages the catchment land around its reservoirs to safeguard the quality of the raw water it collects and stores. The Company then treats and delivers it to its customer's taps, nearly 2,000 million litres of water a day. The Company also collects wastewater from its customers and surface water from roads and highways, treats it at its wastewater treatment works then returns it safely back to the environment. They hold a licence to provide water and wastewater services to around seven million people in the North West of England supplying 3.2 million households and over 200,000 business premises.

Glendale offers an all-encompassing green space management service at a national and local level. They are skilled designers, suppliers and distributors of grounds maintenance, tree management, landscaping, landscape architectural services, planning consultancy and woodland management activities, tackling these, and various other green space management tasks, for public and private sector clients across the UK.
