Giving Alan R Jones driver Dave Fowler the grand tour

With the big news about our acquisition of Newport-based haulage company Alan R Jones announced last month, we were excited to welcome long-standing ARJ Driver, Dave Fowler, to our depot at Burnley Bridge. 

“Dave has been driving for Alan R Jones for 18 years now; he drives the company’s flagship Renault 50th-anniversary vehicle,” says F&W brand and marketing executive, Chris Corrigan. “When we heard that he would be making a delivery to our neck of the woods, we couldn’t wait to meet him and give him a warm Lancastrian welcome!

“Dave was welcomed to our Burnley Bridge depot and shown around our BRC-accredited warehouse while his load was being tipped. Once his new trailer had taken a quick trip through the wash, it was loaded up, and Dave hit the road again to make his delivery in the South West.

“Whilst we have a number of trips scheduled for the Alan R Jones management team to come and visit our Northern headquarters, this chance visit from Dave was a great opportunity for us to establish the basis of our relationship moving forward.

"Beyond the recent acquisition, what we’re aiming for is a real synergy between the two companies; it’s all about working together to give both sets of customers a broader offering when it comes to distribution services, and it’s with the relationships forged across all areas of the business, and not just at management level, that this can be achieved.”
