Galloways, a charity dedicated to supporting people with sight loss, is excited to announce the upcoming "Ninja Warrior" style event. This community-driven, fun-filled day will take place on Sunday, July 7th, in the grounds of Howick House, Penwortham. It aims to raise awareness and funds to ensure the charity can continue to provide much-needed support now and in the future.
Who doesn't love a Ninja Warrior challenge? The "It's a Knockout" event will include a series of engaging Ninja Warrior-style activities with inflatables, where teams from local businesses, community groups, and individuals can compete to become the Galloways champion.
Michelle Hawley, community and events fundraiser at Galloways, said: "We are extremely excited to bring the event to Penwortham and watch teams compete to be the ‘Galloways Champion’. It’s also a great way to raise funds, have a lot of fun, and increase awareness about the challenges people with sight loss face."
Galloways invites everyone to participate by forming a team of between 6 to 10 people, or simply attending to cheer on the participants. Teams will consist of six to ten members, and you can choose to take a free place in return for raising £50 sponsorship per person or, if you prefer not to raise sponsorship, pay £50 per team member or a mix of both. The funds raised during this event will go towards various projects and services, including providing practical and emotional support and promoting independence for individuals with sight loss.
The "It's a Knockout" event is open to all, and registration is now available. Interested participants can visit www.galloways.org.uk or contact [email protected] to sign up. The event promises a memorable day filled with teamwork, community spirit, and fun for a worthy cause.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to support a great cause while having a fantastic time. Join Galloways at Howick House on July 7th for the "It's a Knockout" event and make a difference in the lives of individuals with sight loss.
