A new director of operations has been appointed at the Chorley based global tech-first fulfilment provider fulfilmentcrowd.
Neil Midgley, who spent 14 years at GXO (formally Wincanton), will lead core operational functions spanning network partners, sales, onboarding, and account management, ensuring alignment and efficiency as the business expands globally.
The appointment comes as fulfilmentcrowd continues its growth plan following investment from Palatine Private Equity in May 2025.
Managing director Paul Taylor said: "Neil is already making a positive impact on how we operate, and we are looking forward to him playing an important role in delivering even greater value for our customers as we continue to grow.”
Neil brings 37 years of logistics experience to fulfilmentcrowd, having previously managed large manufacturing fleets, as well as UK and European warehousing and transport operations. He also graduated in 2012 with a BSc honours degree in logistics and international trade.
Paul said: “As fulfilmentcrowd continues to scale its international presence and strategic partnerships with omnichannel brands, Neil’s key priorities will include strengthening operational excellence across the business, optimising processes, enhancing cross-functional collaboration and ensuring the business has the operational capability and resilience to support sustainable growth.”
With fulfilment centres across the UK, EU, US, and Australia, fulfilmentcrowd enables seamless, scalable and efficient logistics solutions tailored to modern commerce. Its award-winning platform processes more than a million parcels annually, providing clients with end-to-end visibility and control of their eCommerce activities.
Neil said: “I have been thoroughly impressed by fulfilmentcrowd's ability to provide scalable operations, pretty much instantaneously, anywhere across the globe. Its award-winning technology is underpinned by a fantastic team of dedicated professionals who are focused on delivering world-class B2B & D2C fulfilment solutions to customers of all sizes.
