Casual dining chain Frankie's Burgers has opened a branch in Blackburn town centre, creating 35 jobs.

The 170-seat restaurant is located at the former Pitchers bar in Salford, Blackburn with the building completely renovated both internally and externally.

The menu features burgers, peri-peri chicken, healthy grilled options, desserts and shakes. It uses premium and fresh products with grass-fed beef and free-range chicken. It will also offer gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

It is the second Frankie's Burgers store to open, following success in West Yorkshire. The company now plans to open five further sites in the UK by 2020, creating over 100 new jobs.

A spokeswoman for Frankie’s Burgers said the new opening has created 35 full and part time positions.

She said: “We are very excited and delighted to finally open our Blackburn store and invest in what we believe is the perfect balance of amazing food, good customer experience with the right in-store ambience.

“We have strong belief in the Frankie’s Burger concept and our fresh, healthy and amazing tasting food and want to bring that same experience to Blackburn.

“Our aim is to now grow the brand across the UK including the North West as part of our ongoing growth strategy.” The restaurant will officially launch on Saturday with a party which begins at 11am.
