Fox Group has announced the opening of a new Readymix concrete plant in Leyland through Moore Readymix, which is part of the Fox Group. This marks another significant investment in its operations and strengthens its ability to supply high quality ready mixed concrete across the north west.
The new facility has a production capacity of 60m³ per hour, supported by a 2m³ mixer, allowing for efficient production, consistent quality and reliable turnaround times to meet the demands of construction projects of all sizes. To support the new operation, the Leyland plant is equipped with a dedicated delivery fleet consisting of five 6m³ concrete mixer trucks and one MiniMix truck
The Leyland plant complements Moore Readymix’s existing operation in Lytham St Annes, which has been supplying ready mixed concrete to customers across the Fylde Coast for more than 20 years.
A spokesperson from Fox Group said: "Sustainability has been a key consideration in the development of the new facility, reflecting Fox Group’s wider commitment to reducing environmental impact across our operations.
"The plant features two 60 tonne powder silos, providing the flexibility to incorporate higher proportions of cement replacement materials into concrete mixes, helping to reduce their associated carbon impact.
"Aggregate loading is also carried out indoors, helping to minimise noise and dust emissions and reduce the impact of operations on the surrounding environment. These features support our ongoing investment in more efficient and environmentally responsible construction materials production."
The opening of the Leyland plant represents another important step in Fox Group’s continued growth and investment in their construction materials operations. Through Moore Readymix, Fox Group can now offer increased production capacity, improved regional coverage and a reliable concrete supply service to domestic and commercial customers alike.
