Forbes and Barclays renew support for Red Rose Awards

Forbes Solicitors and Barclays have both extended their support as headline sponsors for the Red Rose Awards, which return for the 11th year in June.

It is the eighth time that the banking giant Barclays has supported the awards as headline sponsor, which Legal 500 top tier firm Forbes Solicitors has supported since the very first ceremony in 2010.

The event, which has become the most popular awards ceremony in the county attracting more than 1,000 guests to the glittering black-tie ceremony, has been moved from its usual date in March to June 24 in light of the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions.

For 2021, the new-look awards will feature new branding, new trophies and new categories including the Go Green Award, Made in Lancashire Award and Scale-up Business Award, as well as specific categories for professional services, marketing agencies and those working within the built environment sector.

A special Covid Hero award will also be granted out to one exceptional company that has stood out above the many organisations which have played vital roles in helping the country through the pandemic.

Stephen Bolton, commercial director at Lancashire Business View which organises the awards, said: “In a year of chaos and disruption, it’s great to be able to count on the support of our two long-standing headline sponsors.

“The relationships we’ve established mean that both Barclays and Forbes Solicitors play an important part of the process and bring a great deal of value to the event.”

John Stanworth, head of corporate at Barclays, said: “In what has been a demanding year for many, it is with pleasure that Barclays are again supporting this years Red Rose Awards to recognise the amazing achievements of Lancashire based businesses that have led the way during the present pandemic and have shown an ability to adapt and change to enable them to grow and service customers and also support their people over the last twelve months.”

Andrea Stamp, director of marketing and business development at Forbes Solicitors, said: “The Red Rose Awards gives businesses at every stage of their lifecycle an opportunity to shout about their achievements and celebrate success. To be aligned with one of the largest business awards in the county fits perfectly with our brand. The exposure we get from being involved with the awards has grown over the years. Forbes is the largest law firm in Lancashire and the awards have helped us to raise awareness of our specialisms.”

“The Red Rose Awards fit with our values. We are a people business and at every stage of the awards we get to meet with amazing businesses from across the county.”
