Brand new state-of-the-art fitness suite Fitness Evolution, which includes the UK’s only MyProtein bar, is now open to the public and students at Burnley College.

Boosted with a host of exciting and innovative facilities and technology, Fitness Evolution is already being utilised by some of manager Ash Alderson’s top personal training clients, including two-times welterweight WBC international champion Shayne Singleton who trains at the fitness centre several times a week.

Ash is one of only five Master Personal Trainers in the UK and a DNAFit specialist, with a GP Referral Level 3 and Advanced qualifications in Diabetes and Obesity Management and Fitness Management. Ash is also qualified to teach a range of sports classes including kettlebells, strength and conditioning, boxercise and group cycle. He has worked with world-renowned athletes, fitness professionals and fitness models including footballer Danny Wellbeck, Team GB Olympic Bronze Medallist Sophie Hitchon and supermodel Polly Brindle.

Joining Ash are personal trainers and fitness instructors Holly Lynch and Matt Donnelly. Holly, who won a prestigious Sporta Award earlier this year is also an advanced MOSSA instructor and achieved first class honours in Nutrition and Exercise Science and Personal Fitness Training. She also writes reviews on fitness and wellbeing and elite sports kit for FitPro Magazine.

Matt has more than six years fitness industry experience working as a Level 2 Crossfit trainer and a movement specialist. Matt specialises in movement neurology and takes a holistic, functional approach to fitness, creating workouts using elements of Olympic lifting, gymnastics, primal flow and break dancing that are effective as well as fun.

Using the expert knowledge of Fitness Evolution’s new team members Ash, Matt and Holly, and modern technology such as DNA profiling to enhance gym-goers’ workouts, athletes will be able to develop exercise and nutritional plans alongside their personal trainers that truly suit their body type and personal goals.

Manager Ash Alderson said: “Fitness Evolution is unique in the North West, offering elite fitness and leisure using the latest equipment and technologies while remaining accessible to all. Our highly-experienced, award-winning personal trainers are available to give elite training and nutritional advice using state-of-the-art equipment, including the revolutionary DNA Fit technology. The Myprotein bar is also a great addition, enabling members to purchase top quality sports supplements and delicious healthy drinks and snacks both pre and post-workout.”

Deputy principal Karen Buchanan said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Ash Alderson, Matt Donnelly and Holly Lynch, who are offering their skills and expertise to an elite and exciting new facility. Burnley College’s investment in Fitness Evolution is part of our commitment to providing the best possible experience for our students, local and national athletes and the wider local community. Fitness Evolution will provide state-of-the-art fitness training for all, at an affordable price, with a wealth of advanced equipment and additional features such as the Myprotein bar."
