Family businesses form strategic partnership

Two Lancashire businesses in the catering and hospitality sector have come together to produce the perfect recipe for their clients.

Chefs Jobs UK, a chef recruitment business based in Accrington, has been supplying temporary and permanent Chefs to establishments nationwide since 1990 and Total Foodservice, which has depots in Clitheroe and Huddersfield, delivers around 4000 ingredients and product wholesale to catering establishments in Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The partnership was initially suggested by the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce which made the introduction.

Michelle Mellor, operations director of Chefs Jobs UK, said; “It makes perfect sense for both companies to develop a long term partnership as we already have so much in common.

Maria Moriarty Eames, director at Total Foodservice, added: “Total Foodservice is about more than just selling and delivering ingredients to our customers, we genuinely care about their business and want to see them successful in what they do. By partnering with a like-minded supplier such as Chefs Jobs UK we can offer our customers the knowledge and experience of solving a problem in often fraught circumstances by making sure they have a full complement of staff to get them through a period comfortably and successfully.” The partnership was launched with a number of custom made Oliver Harvey Chef jackets embroidered with both company logos which were sent out to all of Chefs Jobs UK’s elite chefs, as well as members of staff at Total Foodservice.
