Tristar relocation

Tristar Printers, a family-run printing and signage company established in 1982, has relocated to a newly-purchased premises at Unit 3, Vale Mill Business Park, Emerald Street, Blackburn.

Tristar was originally founded in a small shop on Queens Park Road, Blackburn, producing traditional print such as leaflets and invoice books.

As the business grew, Tristar became known for its willingness to invest in new technology.

It was among the first in the area to operate a four-colour print process machine in the mid 1990s, placing the company ahead of its time and opening new opportunities for customers.

This commitment to innovation has continued ever since, with the company consistently updating its equipment to stay current and competitive.

The business later moved to a building near the site of today’s Blackburn fire station, before relocating to Birley Trading Estate in 2006.

A major turning point came in 2016, when the company invested heavily in signage, diversifying into large-format displays, illuminated signage, and vehicle graphics.

Today, Tristar is proud to offer the full spectrum of print and signage solutions.

Over four decades, Tristar has built lasting relationships with private clients, trade professionals, educational institutions, and businesses across the North West.

Its reputation has been built on efficiency, reliability, and most importantly high-quality print and service, while a forward-thinking approach and continuous investment in technology have kept the company moving with the times.

The move to Vale Mill marks a significant milestone, giving Tristar a permanent base to continue investing in new technology and serving customers with the efficiency and quality for which it is known for.

Family has always been central to Tristar’s story. Over the years, family involvement has been vital in shaping the business and supporting its success.

Alongside the family, Tristar is strengthened by a loyal design and production team who bring expertise and creativity to every project.

Aboobaker Ahmed, founder, said: “When we first started back in 1982, I never imagined we’d be here today, preparing to open our own premises.

"It has been a long journey, built on hard work, family support, and loyal customers.

"This move is a proud moment for us as a company—to see how much we’ve achieved over more than 40 years—and we’re excited to welcome everyone to our new home.”

Hifzur Ahmed, director of operations, said: “This relocation marks the next stage in our journey. It allows us to grow while staying true to the quality and standards that have carried Tristar from its beginnings in 1982 to where we are today.”

Zaid Ahmed, business development and marketing manager, said: “At Tristar, our goal has always been to give customers more choice and better service. Relocating to Vale Mill allows us to innovate and invest so we can continue meeting those needs for years to come.”

Gary Martin, production lead, said: “Working at Tristar has always been about teamwork and creativity. The new site will give us even more opportunities to deliver great results
