Fagan & Whalley driver David Weston wins again at Truckfest

On the 2nd and 3rd of July, several members of the Fagan & Whalley team made their way down to the Three Counties Showground in Malvern to get stuck into this year's West Midlands & Wales Truckfest show.

With a host of working vehicles on display, we also showcased our 3 series Scania, as well as our newly restored Scania 4 Series Topline. Each of the vehicles we took along was awarded ‘highly commendable’ certificates; however, for our long-standing driver David Weston, that wasn't enough!

David placed second in the 'Best Combination for Working Truck' category, a commendable achievement that reflects the hard work he puts into representing Fagan & Whalley up and down the country.

"David Weston has been a dedicated member of our F&W team for over 30 years now, and it's no surprise he gets the recognition he deserves at shows such as Truckfest. Not everyone chooses to make their hobby their career, but in David's case, his passion and dedication to all things transport shines through," says F&W operations strategy director, Daniel Wood.

“David’s dedication to his trucks doesn’t end when he clocks out of work, having also just attended The Great North West Swittas Truck Show on the 23rd and 24th of July. David placed first in The Best Working Truck (1-5 years old) category and second place in the Best Semi Custom category! Another great achievement.”

"We'd also like to say a huge thank you to our maintenance team for all of their hard work restoring our Scania 3 and 4 Series vehicles, which were highly commended at this Truckfest. Our achievements are reflective of the great team we have here at Fagan & Whalley, as well as the high standards we hold our expanding fleet to!"

What is Truckfest, and when is the next event?

Originating in 1983, Truckfest is an action-packed and family-orientated event that showcases the very best of the British haulage industry. With monster trucks, guest speakers, children's characters, and arena stunt shows - the show is a great event for families and vehicle fanatics alike.

Bring on the next Truckfest Show South East show, which is on the 20th and 21st of August and will be held at the South of England Showground, Ardingly, West Sussex. We’ll see you there!
