Expo celebrates 120 years of chamber

The Lancaster and District Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its 120^th anniversary later this year with the first “North Lancs Expo”.

The chamber has revealed details of the event which will take place on Sunday and Monday September 24 and 25 at the Lancaster Brewery.

Organisers say that Sunday will be more of a family day with interactive exhibits and displays, while Monday will be a networking and information day for businesses.

Chief executive Vicky Lofthouse said: “We are very excited at having the opportunity to run what we believe is the first Expo in the District.

“For too long the lure of the major cities has beckoned many of our youngsters away, but we see no reason why we shouldn’t keep our future talent to ourselves.
