Euro Garages registered £3.8bn of sales last year, with profits of £226m.The rapidly growing forecourt retailer placed 72nd on last year's list, rising sharply mainly as a result of its merger with European Forecourt Retail last year to form a group with 1,450 locations across Europe. The listing places it among high-profile national brands such as Dyson, JCB, Specsavers and Virgin Atlantic.Dan Howlett, head of corporate banking at HSBC UK, commented: “It’s encouraging to see so many businesses not only thriving in these uncertain times, but achieving a higher growth rate than in 2016.
