Blackburn based EG On The Move has completed the acquisition of 85 Prax petrol forecourts across the UK for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition expands EG On The Move's national network to 285 locations. The company said the sites will continue to be managed by independent operators, as it works with them to enhance site performance.
Zuber Issa, chief executive of EG On The Move, said: "Our business is built on strong partnerships with not only retail brand partners but now independent commission operators.
"We look forward to working alongside each operator to build on the strengths of their businesses, helping make every site more effective, more competitive, and even more attractive to customers."
EG On The Move said it will explore investment opportunities across the acquired network.
Ian Woodcock, managing director of Prax Retail, said: "Today's completion marks an important milestone for the business and the many commission operators and employees who have contributed to its success.
"Throughout the process, our priority has been to achieve an outcome that provides continuity for commission operators, employees and customers while creating opportunities for future growth.
"We believe EG On The Move is well placed to take the business forward, and we thank everyone who has supported the network over the years for their dedication and commitment."
The acquisition follows EG On The Move's purchase of a further 27 UK sites from independent petrol forecourt operator MPK Garages in May, continuing the Blackburn company's expansion.
