DTE Business Advisers, one of the largest independent advisory firms in the North West, has announced two promotions.

Kate Hughes and Richard Askey, who both joined DTE as graduates, have been promoted to associate partner. This represents an acknowledgement to their hard work and dedication as well as a demonstration of the continued growth and success of the business.

Fiona O’Loughlin, director, expressed her delight at announcing Kate and Richard’s promotions: "We are committed to developing our own people here at DTE. Which is why it is especially exciting promoting two people to associate partner, who have trained and earned their accountancy qualifications with us.

"The promotions follow a period of sustained growth at DTE. Both Kate and Richard work within our Audit and Accounts team and have developed excellent relationships with their clients, giving real added value in all the work they undertake. Both have great technical and commercial expertise and have shown outstanding commitment in their roles. We wish them every success along the way."

Kate stated: "I am delighted with my promotion to associate partner and I am grateful for the opportunity to build on my experience within DTE. The firm has supported me throughout my career, enabling me to provide quality services and advice to our clients. I am excited to continue to provide these services and help with the growth of our business."

Richard said: "Having joined DTE as a young graduate, I am extremely pleased to have worked my way through the ranks to reach the position of associate partner. Although the last two years have been extremely challenging, DTE have adapted quickly to new working practices guaranteeing a high level of service is maintained to all clients.

"Whilst we have a client focused approach to the work that we do, we also have a very strong training ethos. We help our trainees become well rounded accountants by providing a supportive environment and working closely with them. This ensures they develop a wide breadth of knowledge and experience. As a result, I am confident that we have the right team in place to continue to develop and grow as a firm and I am very much looking forward to the fresh challenges that lie ahead."
