Award-winning travel specialist Destinology has appointed Chorley-based Elite Telecom to provide a unified communications solution that can deal with more than 1,000 in-bound calls per day.

The company required a telecommunications product which could process a high volume of calls in the most efficient manner possible - critical to the organisation’s promise of excellent customer service.

Bolton-based Destinology was looking for a solution which could offer reduced TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), flexibility andcompatibility with its existing server environment as well as a rapid disaster recovery service. After a thorough review process, the company finally selected SwyxWare supplied by Elite Telecom.

Elite Telecom is a leading unified communications provider with offices in Chorley, Derby, London and Madrid and has more than a decade in the hosted, VoIP and telecoms market.

Chris Carter, network and infrastructure manager at Destinology explains: “The business has grown substantially over the last few years and our existing hardware-based system was struggling to cope with demand. It offered us very little flexibility was very difficult to manage.

“We narrowed down our search to two vendors and chose SwyxWare because it offered all the features we needed. For example, we wanted a solution which allows us to more effectively track inbound customer numbers. The new solution provides a single point of contact in unified communications expert, Elite, but also enables us toobtain more detailed data such as ring times, wait times and call costs.”

The system has only recently been installed, but Chris expects that in time the overall operating costs will reduce as more features of the SwyxWare product are brought on-line. The company is already saving money through a more streamlined solution and is benefiting from lower operational telephony costs.

Matt Newing, CEO at Elite Telecom, said: “We are very pleased to be working with such a dynamic company. The SwyxWare solution is one of the most robust unified communications platforms on the market and provides detailed data which is invaluable to an organisation like Destinology. “As a SwyxWare Gold Partner, we know the new platform will provide greater flexibility andsupport company growth. We hope that from working with us Destinology will have better business continuity and benefit from having a single point of contact for all IT and telephony issues.”
