Delivering more support for young talent

Lancashire Business View’s Sub36 mission to nurture the county’s young talent is evolving to deliver even more support for young entrepreneurs and innovators.

The title is making big changes to create a new all-round programme aimed at young people in businesses and is harnessing the award-winning magazine and its online platforms to deliver it.

It will feature a new annual showcase event and regular online news and marketing that will shine a light on young key business leaders and their achievements.

An exciting programme of regular networking events aims to bring these young people together to share their experiences and to offer more support.

And the highly acclaimed Sub36 awards will become a bi-annual showcase of their exceptional talent.

The changes are in response to feedback from Lancashire Business View readers and work undertaken with sponsors to make Sub36 even more relevant as the county looks to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lancashire Business View publisher Richard Slater said: “Sub36 was launched to celebrate the best young talent in Lancashire aged 36 and under, those who will play a key role in driving our economy forward.

“It has been a great success so far and we’re proud of the work we’ve done highlighting their achievements and with the mentorship programme that has developed alongside the awards.

“Now, after talking to readers and sponsors we’re looking to take our ongoing support for these business stars of tomorrow even further.

“Our aims are to offer even more encouragement and advice to these individuals, employees and entrepreneurs alike, and to do our bit in keeping talent in the county.

“The programme that we have created will include a new annual event to offer more support to the Sub36 network that we are looking to build and will include specially targeted workshops among other features and attractions.”

Sub36 has built up a reputation for its different take on the average networking or support group and that also remains at the heart of the new programme.

The networking events often feature a fun activity or venue and the Sub36 Awards differ to the standard award ceremony.

Lancashire Business View will be releasing more information shortly about this year’s main event and future networking events.
